The brackets for the 2024 Western Conference girls and boys basketball tournaments have been released and Chadron will square off with Gering in both openers.
The Chadron girls are the 4th seed and plays 5th seeded Gering at 5:30 on Thursday at Scottsbluff High School. Sidney is the top seed and meets 8th seeded Mitchell at Gering High School at 4:00 pm. The winners of the two games will play on Friday in the semifinals.
The bottom of the bracket has #3 North Platte versus #6 Alliance and #2 Scottsbluff facing off with #7 Sterling, CO.
The Chadron boys are seeded 3rd and play 6th seeded Gering at 5:30 at Mitchell High School on Thursday. Number two Scottsbluff plays #7 Mitchell at 7:00 pm at Gering High School. The winners play in the semi’s on Friday.
Just like the girls bracket, Sidney is the top seed and meets #8 Alliance while #4 Sterling, CO plays #5 North Platte.
