The Chadron girls cross country team finished 4th at the Class C meet on Friday at the Kearney Country Club.
The twins, Makinley and Micaiah Fuller, were separated by just 7-seconds, 21:21 and 21:28, and just narrowly missed medaling in 16th and 18th place.
Emma Witte was 29th and Jentsyn Fuller was 30th. Grace Pyle crossed in 32nd and Aspen Graves was 57th.
Wayne won the girls team championship over Auburn 74-76.
In Class D, Gordon-Rushville’s Tyrah American Horse was 31st with a 22:06. In the boys race fellow Mustang Gregory Johns was 46th with an 18:33. Hay Springs Parker Wellnitz was 62nd.
The Hemingford girls won the Class D team championship.
Elsewhere around the area, Gering’s Madi Seiler won her 3rd state championship in Class B with a 19:13. Teammate Jadyn Scott was just behind in 6th.
