Chadron Girls, Gering Boys Take Titles At Cardinal Cross County Meet

The Chadron girls put all 5 runners in the top of 11 and won the Chadron cross country invite on Friday at Chadron State College.

Micaiah Fuller was the highest placing Cardinal in 3rd with a time of 21:52.57. Sister’s Makinley and Jentsyn were just behind in 6th and 8th place respectively.

Grace Pyle crossed in 9th and Aspen Graves finished in 11th. Gordon-Rushville’s Tyrah American Horse finished in 7th.

Gering’s Madi Seiler won the girls race by over 2-minutes and 20-seconds with a time of 18:53.40.

Chadron won the team title with 30 points, Gering came in 2nd with 38.

Gering cleaned up in the boys race by claiming the top 5 spots individually. Nathan Seiler cleared the field by 33-seconds with a time of 17:32.13.

Franklin Johns of Gordon-Rushville was 7th with a 19:15. Chadron’s Gavin Sloan was 9th with a 19:29. Another Mustang, Gregory Johns crossed the line in 10th.

Ty Brady of Crawford finished the race in 12th.

Gering’s boys finished with 15 points, 55 points ahead of runner-up Sidney.

Next action will be the Alliance Invite on September 17th.
