On a hot Tuesday in Chadron the girls golf team hosted their home invite at Ridgeview Country Club. Six full teams were in attendance and the Cardinals led the pack, winning the tournament with a season best team score of 373, 20 shots better than second place Scottsbluff.
Taegan Bach won the individual race with an 83, one of the four Chadron golfers to place in the top 10. Reese Ritterbush finished in third with a 93, Emmerson Landreth shot a 95 to finish in a three way tie for fifth. Elliana Uhing rounded out the top 10 with a 102. Gillian Conway was the fifth varsity golfer for Chadron and shot a 111 to finish 20th.
Chadron was first in team scoring with a 373, Scottsbluff followed in second with a 393, Sidney in third with a 406, Gering shot a 443 to finish fourth, Valentine in fifth with a 447 and Alliance in sixth, shooting a 466. Other schools with golfers competing include Gordon-Rushville and Mitchell.
