The volleyball season ended for Chadron on Saturday as they were swept in the C1-3 District finals in Sidney by 3rd seeded Gothenburg.
The Swedes showed why they’re 30-2 on the season as they dominated Chadron 25-15, 25-17, 25-14 to end the Cardinals 6-match win streak. Chadron finishes the season 17-21
Hay Springs also saw its season end in a sweep as they fell to #1 Cambridge 25-4, 25-14, 25-14 in the D2-1 finals in Grant. The Hawks end with a 21-11 record.
The Panhandle had 7 teams in the district finals, but Scottsbluff was the only 1 to advance to state as the Bearcats swept Crete in B-8.
Falling short were Alliance and Gering, swept by Omaha Skutt Catholic and Waverly in Class B, Bayard fell in straight sets to Summerland in C2, and Leyton lost to Stuart in 4 sets in D2-6
