The Chadron High One Acts team concluded their performance season Wednesday with the District One Act Competition in Sidney. They competed in District B-6 against competitive performances from Alliance, Sidney, Cozad, Chase County, Ogallala, Gering and McCook.
Although Ogallala claimed the gold, Chadron came home with the third place title among the eight schools, while also bringing home individual titles for the cast members. Outstanding Actors and Actresses were awarded to Averielle Sager, Jace Paopao, Jaelyn Brown, Wesley Margetts, Adday Tewahade, Karsen Stokely, Aiden Vinton, Eliana Uhing, Marin Dickau and Charlotte Fisher.
Chadron High Freshman Gianna LaPorte, who plays part of the ensemble narrating the story, says although the season is over, she is glad she participated and plans to do so in the coming years. “All the people are really great. Everybody is very proud of themselves and we’ve worked really hard.” said the young actress.
