The Chadron Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 juniors are hosting a wood bat tournament June 22nd and 23rd
Teams coming to Chadron include, Gordon, Rapid City Dakota Kings 14U, Spearfish along with a combination team of the Chadron/Hot Springs South Dakota Prep teams. There will be five games both Saturday and Sunday. Home teams are listed second.
Saturday’s action includes. 10:30: Gordon vs Chadron juniors. 12:30: Gordon vs Rapid City. 2:30: Rapid City vs Spearfish. 4:30: Spearfish vs Chadron/Hot Springs preps. 6:30: Chadron/Hot Springs preps vs Chadron juniors.
Sunday’s action features: 10:30: Rapid City vs Chadron juniors. 12:30: Chadron/Hot Springs preps vs Rapid City. 2:30: Gordon vs Chadron/Hot Springs preps. 4:30: Spearfish vs Gordon. 6:30: Spearfish vs Chadron juniors.
The tournament rules include a 1 hour 45 minute time limit. There will be a mercy rule of 12 runs after three innings (2.5) and eight runs after four innings (3.5). Champion will be determined by win-loss record in the tournament. Tiebreakers start with head to head record, followed by run differential, then runs allowed.
