Chadron Police Arrest 2 On Drug Charges

Loading

A call to police about a suspicious vehicle in a gas station parking lot on Friday eventually led to the arrest of 2 people on felony drug charges.

23-year old Amanda Kroger was taken into custody for possession of both Fentanyl and Methamphetamine while 25-year old Damion Glenn was arrested on the same 2 charges plus warrants from Colorado for vehicle theft and failure-to-appear in court.

Chadron Police Chief Rick Hickstein says a private citizen told the dispatcher they were worried because a vehicle had been parked in front of the gas pumps for a very long time.

Lt Gabe Walz and Officer Sam Cafferty responded and made contact with Kroger, who was alone. Lt Walz could see drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, which led to a search that found Kroger with 8 tablets of suspected Fentanyl.

A search warrant was then obtained for both the vehicle and the Chadron motel room where Kroger and Glenn, her boyfriend, were staying.

A more extensive search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of more drug paraphernalia while the hotel room yielded 28 moretablets of suspected Fentanyl and residual amounts of suspected methamphetamine.

A records search on Glenn showed the active arrest warrants from Colorado and he was taken into custody along with Kroger. Both were booked into the Dawes County Jail.

The Chadron Police Department was assisted with the investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol and the WING Drug Task Force.
