Chadron Public Schools And CSC Offer Joint Band Concert

Loading

It’s a night of band music Tuesday night on the Chadron State College campus as the Chadron Public Schools Instrumental Music Program brings its Spring Concert to the Memorial Hall Auditorium at 7:00 with special guests the Chadron State Wind Symphony.

School district band director Joe Rischling says his 3 groups, the 6th grade band, 7th-8th grade band, and the high school band will perform first.

The college Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr John Wojcik, will then play one number before the high school band returns to the stage for a combined number.

The selection chosen is Ad Decimum, an original composition by Chadron State freshman Thomas Hughes – a member of the Wind Symphony and a former member of the Chadron High band.

The concert is free and open to the public. Because of the number of musicians taking part, seating could be a bit limited and an early arrival for the 7:00 concert is recommended.
