The Chadron High volleyball team rallied to take down Alliance 3-2, winning the fifth set 18-16 in a match that didn’t end until 9:45 on Thursday night.

Alliance took the 1st and 4th sets by matching scores of 25-21. The Cards pulled off the 2nd and 3rd sets 25-14 and 25-21.

Chadron had three hitters with double digit kills. Demi Ferguson put down 17 and Kenli Boeselager and Taverra Sayaloune had 11 apiece.

Marlee Pinnt had four blocks at the net while Jaleigh McCartney came up with 40 set assists.

Head Coach Blakelee Hoffman said of the game, “I am so proud how this team battled through all 5 sets. It’s difficult to pick one player who stood out above everyone else because each person truly had a great game! I’m glad we’re heading into sub-districts with this level of play and confidence.”

Chadron improves their record to 14-17 on the season and will head back to Alliance on Saturday for the Pilfold Invitational.
