Supt Meyer’s salary for next year was incorrectly listed at $169,000. The correct figure is $161, 276Â
The Chadron School Board has given the district’s administrators the same 2-year pay raise package that teachers are getting: 2.394% the first year and 2.338% the second year.
Board President Boone Huffman says the raises will keep teachers and administrators generally in the middle of the salary range of a group of similar districts – the comparability array for Chadron.
The salaries of two administrators would still rank the the bottom of the array – superintendent and maintenance supervisions – and the board gave both a dollar amount increase in addition to the percentage to close the gap.
The only disagreement came on the salary for Superintendent Ginger Meyer, who will get a $5,000 raise this year and next.
Board member Tye Pourier argued hard that Meyer deserves and should get the full $10,000 raise this year, but Huffman says the board majority felt it was better to split it over 2 years.
Meyer’s salary rises from $153,000 to $161,000 – including the $5,000 set amount – in the first year and $169,000 the second. Josh Stadler’s salary as head of maintenance – with the additional $2,500 – will be around $60,000Â
