Chadron School Board Gives Meyer Very Positive Evaluation

Loading

The Chadron School Board has given Superintendent Ginger Meyer another strong annual evaluation.

The evaluation form rates Meyer on a 0-4 scale in 7 areas – shared and strategic vision, policy and facility management, collaborations, continuous improvement leadership, teaching and learning, personnel leadership, and district culture.

The ratings by each board member in each area were reported verbally and all were either 3s or 4s. Board President Tom Menke says the results are outstanding.

The board had Meyer do a self-evaluation and she ranked herself lower than the board in several areas. That didn’t surprise Menke.

The school board also praised Meyer for being named the Nebraska Council of School Administrators’ District 5 Superintendent of the Year.

District 5 covers the entire Panhandle and Menke feels the award underscores how Meyer has become a leader in the region in her 3-plus years in Chadron.

Meyer told the board her receiving the award was included in their packet for the meeting only because Menke made her put it in.
