The Chadron Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 seniors began their postseason journey today. It was a tough day for Chadron as Alliance came out hot and rook down Chadron 8-4.
Alliance came out of the gate hot with a single on the first at bat of the day. A wild pitch later brought home the run. The second inning saw Alliance get the first three on by walk or hit by pitch. A two RBI single and a sacrifice fly put Alliance up 4-0 after two innings.
The third inning is where Chadron started to make things interesting when Broc Berry drove home two on an RBI double to bring it back within two. Alliance added one more but Chadron responded with a Caden Buskirk sac fly that brought in two runs. That was it for the scoring for Chadron as Alliance added three more between the sixth and seventh innings to pull off the 8-4 win.
Berry went 2-3 with two RBI’s and a double while Buskirk went 0-3 with two RBI’s on a sac fly.
Chadron falls to 12-12 and will now play the winner of Gering/Sidney tomorrow at seven.
