Chadron Softball Gets Postseason Assignment

The final week of the regular season for Chadron softball is here as the face Scottsbluff on the road Tuesday night then go to Imperial to face off against Chase County and Alliance on Saturday. But, even before they leave for Scottsbluff the Cardinals have gotten their subdistrict assignment.

The NSAA announced Tuesday morning the Class C sub districts with the Cardinals going to Genoa to begin their postseason journey on Monday October 7th. The Cardinals earned the second seed in the C-4 sub district. They are going to be joined by the one seeded and host Twin River, third seeded Bayard and fourth seeded North Bend Central.

Twin River will play North Bend Central to begin the tournament at 1pm mountain time/2pm central time then Chadron will play Bayard following that game at 3pm mountain time/4pm central time. The championship game will happen that evening with a scheduled start time of 6pm central time/5pm mountain time with the winner guaranteed a spot in a best of three district championship series. 

Genoa is a 344 mile, 5 hour and 33 minute drive for Chadron while Bayard is a 354 mile, 5 hour 21 minute drive according to Apple Maps.
