The Chadron Cardinals softball team ventured down to Ogallala Thursday for a couple of games. In one of the games the Cardinals took on McCook and fell 13-2, then in the other game against Cozad the Cardinals won 11-7.
In the game against, McCook got up 2-0 in the bottom of the first and extended the lead to 10-0 after an eight run third inning. The Cardinals were able to keep the game alive with their backs against the wall with two runs in the top of the fourth inning. McCook added three in the bottom of the fifth to complete the 13-2 win.
In the game against Cozad the Cardinals won 11-7.
The Cardinals are now 11-13 and will go to Scottsbluff on Tuesday.
