Chadron Splits With Gering

The Chadron High girls and boys basketball teams split on the road at Gering on Friday night.

Demi Ferguson scored 13 points and the Cards used a 15-4 3rd quarter as the Chadron girls won 50-31.

Chadron’s bench out scores Gering’s 23-7, including 9 from Marlee Pinnt, to move to 8-7 on the season.

Gering used a 18-6 run in the 2nd quarter to turn a 22-18 Chadron lead into a 36-28 advantage for the Bulldogs at the break and run to a 64-54 win.

Chadron started the 2nd quarter on an 11-1 run to take their lead before Gering came back.

Three Cardinals scored in double figures led by Gage Wilds 14. Xander Provance had 11 and Brady Daniels added 10.

Chadron is now 6-8 on the year.

Chadron will turn around and face Gordon-Rushville on Saturday with the girls game kicking things off at 3:30.  You can hear the action on KCSR and chadrad.com.
