Chadron Splits With Sidney

The Chadron Platte Valley Bank went down to Sidney Tuesday night for a juniors/seniors matchup. The juniors fell 12-0 while the seniors held on to win 5-3.

In the juniors game Chadron could not repeat the magic from the last time met back on July 18th where Chadron won 7-4. This time around it was all Sidney. The first inning was scoreless between the teams but in the bottom of the second Sidney brought four runs in and continued to pour it on from there as they won 12-0 over Chadron.

Tobin Landen had two hits for Chadron and Tobin Meyer had one as well.

In the seniors game Chadron was looking to avenge their loss to Sidney back on July 18th when they lost 10-4. They were able to, but it took a while to get the bats rolling as both teams were scoreless through two innings. The top of the third saw Chadron score all five of their runs with Logan Slama, Derek and Kobe Bissonette, Broc Berry, and Davonte Ross all scoring for Chadron. While lock down pitching from Atreyu Thorsen and Kobe Bissonette kept Sidney from tying the game up. As Chadron won 5-3.

The juniors are now 12-9 on the season after the loss while the seniors move to 8-11 after the win.

Both teams are in action Wednesday night at home taking on Alliance. First pitch for juniors is at five.
