Chadron Sweeps Alliance On Senior Night


Five Chadron boys finished in double figures as the Cardinals won their fifth straight with a 64-52 victory over Alliance on Monday night.

After a tight knit first quarter, Chadron outscored Alliance 39-22 in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to carry a 19 point lead into the 4th quarter.

Broc Berry and Gage Wild each scored 13 points to lead Chadron. Tyler Spotted Elk added 12, Thomas Smith had 11 and Trey Hendrickson had 10.

The Chadron girls held Alliance to just ten 2nd half points and snapped a two game skid with a 48-27 win over the Bulldogs. It was just a three point contest at the half before Chadron pulled away in the final 16 minutes.

Taverra Sayaloune had a career high 23 points to lead all scorers while Demi Ferguson reached double figures with 11.

Both Chadron teams begin Western Conference Tournament play on Thursday when they play Gering. The Chadron boys play at Mitchell while the girls are at Scottsbluff. Both games start at 5:30 pm and we will be carrying the boys game on KCSR and
