The Chadron Cardinals volleyball team was in Valentine on Saturday for four matches at the Valentine Invite. The Cardinals went 4-0 to win the tournament, giving the team a momentum boost going into the final night of the regular season.
The Cardinals opened up the day sweeping past Gordon-Rushville 25-9, 25-16. The Cardinals followed it up by winning three set matches over Cozad (25-18, 22-25, 26-24) and Valentine (22-25, 25-13, 25-9). Before clinching the tournament with a sweep over Valentine 25-11, 25-13, to win the title.
The 17-18 Cardinals will look to wrap up the regular season with a trip to rival Alliance Monday night with first serve just after 6.
