The Chadron High boys and girls basketball teams had tough luck on the road on Saturday, dropping both games of their double header with Gordon-Rushville.
The Chadron girls took a 31-30 lead into the 4th quarter against the Mustangs only to get outscored 15-9 in the final 8 minutes of a 45-40 loss.
Demi Ferguson and Marlee Pinnt shared team high honors with 10 points each.
Chadron drops to 8-8 on the season.
The Chadron boys went on a 15-0 run through the 2nd and 3rd quarters to tie Gordon-Rushville at 28 a piece, but the Mustangs answered and avenged an overtime loss in December with a 49-39 victory.
Xander Provance was the only Cardinal in double figures with 16 points.
The Cardinal boys are now 6-9 on the year.
Chadron will travel to Bridgeport on Tuesday to close out a three game road trip.
