The Chadron Cardinals are back in the playoffs for the second straight year, qualifying as the eight seed in the class C-1 playoffs. The Cardinals will host the ninth seeded Lincoln Christian Crusaders on Friday, November 1st. The Cardinals started the season on a seven game winning streak, locking themselves into the playoffs with their week six win over Chase County. The Cardinals have since lost two straight and will sneak into a home game at 7-2.
Lincoln Christian comes into the playoffs at 7-2 as well and are riding a three game winning streak after defeating Platteview on Friday Night. Their two losses are to Auburn and Central City, teams that finished 8-1 in the regular season.
The winner of this game faces the one seed Sidney or 16 seed Omaha Roncalli Catholic on Friday, November 8th.
Game time is set for 4pm at Cardinal Field.
