The Chadron High track teams combined for six gold medals at the season opening CSC high school indoor meet last Saturday.
Xander Provance and Quinn Bailey were the only double gold medalists of the day. Provance claimed top honors in the 60m hurdles and Bailey won the 200m dash. Both were a part of the winning 4x400m relay team.
Malachi Swallow also earned first place finish, crossing the line first in the 60m dash.
Kyndall Carnahan was the lone Chadron girls runner to win a race in the 1600m. Grace Pyle took gold in the high jump.
Runner-up honors on the boys side went to Swallow in the 60m hurdles, Cade Smith in the high jump and Tyler Spotted Elk in the long jump.
For the girls, Pyle was 2nd in the 800m and the 4x400m relay team of Demi Ferguson, Reese Ritterbush, Jazzy Munyiri and Micaiah Fuller took silver as well.
Chadron is on the road at Sidney on Friday.
