A busy stretch of volleyball continued for the Chadron Cardinals, this time at class B Gering. The Cardinals were able to get a set but fell 3-1,(25-20, 23-25,25-20,25-12).
The Gering Bulldogs have had a great start to the season with sweeps in their first three matches. They fell to Sterling, Colorado in a sweep and rolled up to the match with a 4-1 record. The Bulldogs came out hitting on all cylinders and won the first set 25-20. The Cardinals, coming off a brutal stretch with three straight matches going five sets were able to muster the second set 25-23. But it was all Gering the rest of the way with winning the third set 25-20 and fourth 25-12 to win the match.
Chadron falls to 6-4 on the season and will go to Bridgeport on Tuesday for a Triangular with Bridgeport and Sidney.
