Chadron Cardinals volleyball made a weekend trip up to Rapid City Christian for a tournament and came home third. The Cardinals played in five best of three set matches and managed to go 3-2 on the day.
Chadron started the tournament by beating New Underwood 2-0, fell to hosts Rapid City Christian 2-0 in the second match. The third one was a Chadron sweep over St. Francis, then Chadron got swept by Hills City in the forth match. The last match of the day went all three sets but revenge was served as Chadron beat the hosts Rapid City Christian 2-1 to lock down third.
The Cardinals continue the stretch of matches on the road to begin the season Tuesday Night when they go to Scottsbluff with matches at 4/5/6.
