The Chadron Cardinals volleyball team ventured down to Bridgeport Tuesday for a Triangular with the Bridgeport Bulldogs and Sidney Red Raiders. The Cardinals fell in both matches two sets to none to go 0-2 on the day.
The first match of the day was against host Bridgeport. The Cardinals battled with the Bulldogs to the end of the first set but fell 25-23. The second set saw the Bulldogs gain control, winning the second set 25-18 to sweep the Cardinals.
The final match of the day for the Cardinals saw them go up against Sidney. The match was hard fought as both sets went down to the bitter end but Sidney swept the Cardinals 25-23, and 28-26. The Cardinals will take their 6-6 record to Gothenburg on Friday and Saturday for the Gothenburg invite. Chadron will take on Ogallala, Kearney Catholic and Minden on Friday. Then on Saturday will play York, Gothenburg, and St. Paul on Saturday.
In JV both matches went to three sets with Chadron defeating Bridgeport and losing to Sidney.
