The Chadron High boys wrestling team went 1-4 and placed 7th at the Grand Island Northwest dual tournament on Saturday.
The Cardinals dropped matches to Pierce, Northwest, Elkhorn, and Ogallala before taking down Adams Central in the 7th place match 48-19.
Rhett Cullers went a perfect 5-0 on the day at 182 and 195-lbs with each win coming by pin or major decision. Quinn Bailey was dealt his first loss of the season but went 4-1 on the day with his four wins coming by pin.
Zane Cullers and Braden Underwood had 3-2 performances in their weight classes. Tayven Jenkins, Darion Dye, Jeremy Swallow and Jacob Winckler were all 2-3.
It’s a busy week for the Cardinals as they host Valentine and Gordon-Rushville in a triangular on Thursday before hosting their dual tournament at the PAC on Friday and the Chadron Invite, also at the PAC, on Saturday.
