Chadron’s Chase Olson nabbed a top 10 finish at Chadron’s rain shortened invite at Ridgeview Country Club on Thursday. Olson fired a 9-hole score of 37 for 5th place.
Chadron High AD Rick Barry said in an email that most golfers made it through 15 holes before weather stopped play. The decision was then made to only score the first nine holes.
Scottsbluff filled the top 3 spots, led by Kaedon Patton’s round of 35.
Broc Berry and Trey Hendrickson shot identical 43’s and Gage Wild ended with a 44 in his first varsity action of the season for Chadron.
The Bearcats took home the team title with a 147, followed by Gering’s team score of 161. The Cardinals were 3rd with a 167.
Crawford finished the day in 8th with a 194 and Hay Springs carded a 226.
It’s a quick turnaround with golfers making their way to Skyview in Alliance on Friday for a make-up meet.
