Chadron’s Xander Provance Wins All-Class Gold In 110m Hurdles

Following Saturday’s last boys 110m high hurdles final in classes C and D, Xander Provance was named the All-Class Gold Medalist in the event with his winning time of 14.46 which he ran on Thursday in the Class B finals.

Provance’s time bested Javon Leuty of Lincoln High who ran a 14.60.

Provance is the first Chadron High all-class gold medal winner since Allen Osborn staked claims in 2008, also in the 110m high hurdles. The 2006 Chadron girls 4x800m relay team is the schools only other all-class gold medalist.

Malachi Swallow was 6th all-class in the 300m intermediate hurdles with his time of 39.57, just about a full second out of 1st. Jackson Roberts of Boone Central had the fastest time with a 38.46.

Chayton Bynes was 8th all-class in the long jump, hitting 22’ .5”. The top leap went to Omaha Central’s Jaylen Lloyd who cleared a distance of 23’ 3.5”
