Christine Etta Provost was born on September 12, 1938 in Pine Ridge, SD to Samuel Belt and Elizabeth (Flood) Belt. Christine made her journey to the Spirit World on September 10, 2023 at her home near Oglala, SD.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Elizabeth Belt; sisters Leona and Thomasina Belt; brothers Alphonzo and Calvin Belt; aunts/uncles Etta & Pugh Youngman-Afraid of His Horse, Richard & Florence Ten Fingers, Phyllis & Victor Dreaming Bear, Delores & Robert Two Bulls, Ambrose & Elizabeth Belt, Roland Belt, Jonas Belt, and Sara Brave; and her beloved great-grandchildren Cato Lukea Clarke, Wocekiye Olowan Two Bulls, Baby Girl White Eyes, and Breslin Rehel Black Elk.
