The Chadron High School gymnasium that was constructed back in the mid-90’s, underwent a major renovation over the summer that started with new bleachers just prior to last May’s graduation and has moved forward.
A long with the new bleachers, a new floor has been installed, wall padding and a state of the art video board.
Chadron High AD Rick Barry says,” Chadron High School is excited to open our newly remodeled gym. We have worked extremely hard to provide these amazing upgrades.”
More features are yet to come as upgrades continue. The first contest will be held in the gym on August 24th when Chadron host Mitchell in volleyball.
Barry went on to say,” We would like to thank everybody who made this happen, including all of our sponsors.”
An open house is tentatively schedule for next week.
So varsity basketball games will no longer be held in the middle school gym?
Did the gym really need to get remodeled?
Read the more detailed article in the Chadron Record, and this renovated Gym should seat almost 200 more people than the existing middle school gym. And if Jackson Lynn has been to any varsity games in the middle school, she would know that more seating for varsity events is needed for Chadron High athletics.
Oh okay, I was actually curious. I didn’t know they would be hosting games there now. Good for graduation too.
