The Circle of Light cancer support program of Chadron Community Hospital holds its 12th “Show the Light in Your Heart” fundraiser tonight at 5:30 in the Dawes County Fairground Events Center.
Tickets are $20 and available at the door.
Hospital Director of Radiology and Circle of Light coordinator Jodi Dannar is thrilled to have the fundraiser return after a 3-year pandemic hiatus.
The Circle of Light was started by a grant from the Susan G Komen foundation to support breast cancer patients and help meet related expenses not covered by insurance, but was quickly expanded to cover all cancers.
Dannar says Circle of Life, since that first year, has raised and provided money to area residents for both regular living expenses and those related to going elsewhere for treatment
Dannar says tonight’s Show the Light in Your Heart again features a buffet-style meal but with a twist.
The annual fundraisers have always received good support for its silent and live auctions, but Dannar says this year’s level of donations has been exceptional.
Dining and the silent auction begins at 5:30 with the live auction starting at 7:00..
Again, Show the Light in Your Heart has moved this year to the Dawes County Fairgrounds Event Center with tickets $20 and available at the door.
