Funeral services for 84-year old Clayton “Jim” Shaw are Sat, April 30, 2022 at 10:00 at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD, with Pastor Tim Wardell officiating and traditional Lakota Services by Quentin Red Bear
Burial is at the Salway Family Cemetery in Allen, SD.
A one-night wake service starts Friday, April 29, at 2:30, also at the CAP Office in Allen with Rosary services starting at 7:00 PM with Military Roll Call to follow.
Clayton Carl Shaw was born on May 26, 1937 in Allen, SD, to Clement Shaw and Zoey Mousseaux. Clayton made his journey to the Spirit World on April 21, 2022 at the Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO.
Clayton Shaw was in the United States Air Force from October 1954 to April 1957 and both served in the Korean Conflict and was part of the Vietnam Police Operation.
Clayton was also in the Air Force Police and also served as a Tribal Police Officer for the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Crow Creek Sioux Tribe, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.
Clayton is survived by his children, Zoey Shaw, Winnie Shaw, Candra Shaw, Louis Shaw, and Caroline Shaw; brothers, Gary Richards and John DuBray; sisters, Donna Richards and Judy Kintz; grandchildren, Cassandra, Kayla, & Kelsey Usera, Patrick Randall, Erik Shaw, Randy Shaw, Cody Shaw, Carl Shaw, Patricia Shaw, Nicole Bering, Brittany Shaw, Kimmie Red Feather, Linda Red Feather, Angela Richards, and Pete Richards, Jr.; great grandchildren, Gustavo Martinez, Benicio Martinez, Mauricio Martinez, Jordan Vanne Shaw, Julissa Enriquez, Marissa Martinez, Melissa Martinez, Alissa Martinez, Isiah Brooklyn Shaw, Eva Martinez, and Claudia Martinez; great-great grandson, Gustavo Antonio Shaw, Jr.; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Clement Shaw and Zoey Mousseaux; son, Clayton Shaw Jr; daughter, Kimmie Shaw; brothers, Robert Shaw and Don Mousseaux; and grandparents, Baptist & Winne Mousseaux.
Pallbearers will be Gustavo Martinez, Benicio Martinez, Mauricio Martinez, Patrick Shaw, Randy Shaw, Erik Shaw, John DuBray, and Jose Martinez Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rose Medical Center Staff, Sioux Funeral Home, and All Friends & Relatives.
