The coaches for the 2026 West Nebraska All-Star football game and volleyball matches have been released.
The West team in football will be led by Joe Vetrovsky from McCook. Chadron High head football coach Michael Sandstrom will be part of the assistants for the West team along with Brendan Geier from Perkins County and Ben Vetrovsky from McCook.
The East team will be led by Brandon Cool from Kearney. Assistants for the East will be Tyke Kozeal from Ord, Kyle Peters from Kearney and Nate Wells from Ord.
The volleyball match will see Lisa Merritt from Hay Springs along with Jodi Craig from Morrill leading the West team. Coaching the East team will be Julie Ratka from Minden with her assistant being Jamee Smith from Ansley/Litchfield.
Rosters for the games are expected to be released in the near future.
The West Nebraska All-Star Football Game will be held at Scottsbluff’s Bearcat Stadium with a kickoff at 11am mountain time with the volleyball match to follow at WNCC’s Cougar Palace at 3pm mountain time.
