The coaches have been named for this year’s West Nebraska All-Star Football and Volleyball Games, coming up June 1st in Scottsbluff
Mitchell’s Nick Kuxhausen is the West head coach for football, assisted by Trey Allison (Scottsbluff), David Becker (Mitchell), and Josh Dean (Hemingford).
Heading up the East team is Brendan Johnsen of Alma. His staff includes Joe Boehler (Alma), Scott Johnsen (Medicine Valley), and Tye Spies (Loomis).
In volleyball, the West has Gering’s Amanda Cochran as head coach with Sarah Walker (Morrill) her assistant. East head coach Hayley Ryan of Overton is assisted by Tammy Kenton (Sumner-Eddyville-Miller)
Both games are starting earlier this year. The 40th annual West Nebraska volleyball game is set for first serve at 11:00, as always at WNCC’s Cougar Palace, while the 46th annual football game has a 3:00 kickoff, still at Scottsbluff’s Bearcat Stadium.
