The Dawes county Board of Commissioners convened again on Tuesday morning and, again, had more business to attend to- namely the One & Six Year Road plan.
At 9:30 AM, Chairman Vic Rivera declared the public hearing on the plan to be open.
During discussion, it was decided that Slim Buttes Road would be added to the six-year plan. It was also acknowledged that the state of Nebraska is working on a grant with Dawes and Box Butte counties for a “scheduled paving project” on Table Center Road- which is detailed in the One & Six Year Plan as well.
Once discussion ceased, Resolution No. 2025-10 was introduced. A vote was subsequently called and the One & Six Year Road Plan was unanimously adopted.
According to the Dawes County website, there are at least 17 county road projects remaining on the six year plan. Downloadable maps and other information can be found here: dawescounty.ne.gov.
