Organizations in Chadron can soon apply for grants from the city’s ACE/KENO funds.
The council Monday approved opening the grant cycle for 60 days. Human Resources Manager Bev Bartlett said the notice opening the grants will likely be posted Nov. 15, meaning the applications will be accepted through Jan. 15, 2025. The grants are funded by the city’s KENO lottery revenue and its revenue from the Public Alliance for Community Energy program.
The grants are available for community betterment projects. Last year $18,000 was granted. The council approved up to $20,000 in grants during this cycle.
