COVID-19 Numbers Continuing To Rise In The Panhandle

    Panhandle Unified Command on Monday reported 368 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region since last Monday. That’s up from 275 the previous week and 318.8 cases per 100,000 population.

     :Last week’s new cases included 184 in Scotts Bluff County, 58 in Box Butte, 32 in Cheyenne, 30 in Dawes, 26 in Morrill, and 18 in Sheridan. There are 22 hospitalized COVID cases in the Panhandle.

     A recent executive order from Gov Pete Ricketts allowed the release again of county-by-county COVID data.

     The Panhandle has had 11,333 confirmed cases and 204 deaths since the start of the pandemic and another 10 deaths awaiting verification that they were COVID-related.
