Coyotes Escape Warriors, Crawford Downs Fleming

Potter-Dix sent Sioux County home with two losses Friday.

The Coyotes bested the Warriors 53-24 on the gridiron. The teams were tied at six after one quarter, and Sioux County led at half 18-14. Potter-Dix came back from the break and hung 31 on the scoreboard, while its defense kept Sioux County out of the endzone. The Coyotes outscored the Warriors again in the fourth quarter 8-6 to stay undefeated.

Sioux County is now 3-1 on the year.

On the volleyball court, Potter-Dix won in three straight, 25-18, 25-12, 25-22. The loss drops the Warriors to 6-4 on the year.

The Crawford Rams picked up their second win to improve to 2-1 after defeating Fleming, Colorado, Friday. The Rams earned a 52-34 victory over the Wildcats.

Stats have not been reported for any of the games.

Crawford and Sioux County will face each other Sept. 22 in Harrison for the Warriors’ Homecoming contest. Football kick-off will be at 2 p.m., with the game followed by a volleyball contest between the two teams.
