Crash Sat Night In Scottsbluff Claims One Life

      Panhandle authorities say a two-vehicle collision Saturday night in Scottsbluff claimed the life of a Scottsbluff man.

      55-year-old Fredrick Evans was one of the drivers in the accident shortly after 10:00 in the 1300 block of 14th Avenue.

     Scottsbluff Police Sgt Philip Eckerberg says Evans was southbound in a pickup when he crossed over to the left side of the road and struck another pickup. 

      The impact caused Evans’ pickup to roll onto its right side. Evans was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.. 

      Health issues and alcohol use are being investigated as potential contributing factors to the crash. Scottsbluff Police were assisted on scene by Scottsbluff Fire Dept, Valley Ambulance Service, and Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Deputies.
