The Crawford boys added to their win column against Edgemont Thursday, the only victory for the Rams in a two-game stand as they begin the new year.
Crawford defeated the Moguls 56-37, taking control early with a 14-3 showing in the opening period. By half-time, the Rams were up 30-12 and kept the pressure on in the third with an 18-13 run. Edgemont outpaced Crawford 12-8 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap. Keaton Darrow led the Moguls with 15 points, while his teammate Sebastian Morse added 10. Stats for the Rams are not available.
The Lady Rams were also in Edgemont last week and suffered a 47-19 loss. Down 8-4 after one quarter, Crawford never scored more than six points a period. They trailed 22-10 at the break, and the Moguls used runs of 14-2 and 11-7 to cruise to victory. Kylah Vogel led Crawford with 10 points and seven rebounds, while Peyton Ostenson posted 23 points and 17 boards for the Moguls.
Crawford faced Morrill Saturday, losing in both boys’ and girls’ action. The Lady Rams trailed 14-8 early and were down 29-17 at half-time. Morrill added to its advantage with a 16-3 showing in the third, while Crawford put together a 15-5 run in the final eight minutes in the 50-35 defeat. The Morrill boys earned a 53-36 victory over the Rams. No stats are available for either contest.
The Crawford boys are now 4-6 on the year, while the girls are 4-7.
