Crawford Boys Win, Girls Lose

The Crawford Rams used a big second half to edge out Minatare last Thursday to improve to 6-9 on the year.

Minatare was up 9-8 after one quarter and extended their lead 22-13 by half-time. The Rams regrouped during the break and pulled within two points with a 15-8 run in the third quarter. They maintained that pace and took the lead and a 44-39 victory with a 16-9 showing in the final eight minutes. Stats for the contest are not available.

The Lady Rams were in action last Tuesday, dropping their contest to Hemingford 38-27. Crawford opened with a 9-8 lead but scored just four points in the second quarter to trail 16-13 at the break. Hemingford used a pair of 11-7 runs in the second half to press their advantage and take the win. The Lady Rams are now 7-10 on the season. Kylah Vogel led the Rams with eight points, and Tianna Clark contributed six. Kaylee Juhnke grabbed 15 rebounds for the Rams.
