Crawford Falls To Hay Springs On Homecoming

      It was a tough Homecoming for Crawford as the Rams lost to Hay Springs 50-16 Friday night.

The game was close in the first half, but the Hawks exploded for 30 points after intermission to put away the Rams.

    Crawford falls to 2-4 heading into a road contest with 1-5 Minatare. Hay Springs evens its record at 3-3 as the Hawks return home next Thursday to host Sioux County.

     The Warriors are also 3-3 after losing their Homecoming game last night 53-15 to Cody-Kilgore. We will broadcast the Hay Springs-Sioux County battle on FM 107.7 KBPY.

     In other area games, McCook rolled over Alliance 56-0, Hemingford smashed Kimball 74-14, Gering fell to Grand Island Northwest 37-17, Mitchell shut out Chase County 30-0, Sidney topped Cozad 19-7, and South Platte bopped Minatare 38-14

      In South Dakota, Hot Springs got 5 rushing touchdowns from Preston Iverson as the Bison rolled over Rapid City Christian 42-0. Hot Springs is now 5-2 and in position to host a first round 11B playoff game with just one game left in the regular season.

     Also from the Rushmore State, bragging rights in Pine Ridge belong to Red Cloud after whipping the Thorpes 57-6 while in Wyoming, Lusk went on the road to beat Moorcroft 30-18.
