The Crawford Senior Pro Rodeo began Friday continues with sessions Saturday at 2:00 and Sunday morning at 10:00.
Admission for the rodeo is $10 per person or $30 per vehicle for each session.
Rodeo spokesman and former Senior Pro World Champion roper Dale Rising says the event is sanctioned by both of the country’s largest senior circuits.
Rising says the multiple age groups recognize the effects age can have on a rodeo competitor.
Rising says the Crawford Senior Pro Rodeo understandably draws most of its entries from the western half of the country, but does attract some from across the nation.
Leading into this afternoon’s 2:00 session are dog races, which Risings says are far from what most people think of as dog racing with greyhounds chasing a mechanical rabbit.
Tomorrow’s Crawford Senior Pro Rodeo schedule includes Cowboy Church at 8:00, also at the Rodeo Grounds.
