Crawford’s Flack Tied For 54th At Halfway Point Of Class D Boys State Golf Tournament

     This is Day 2 of the Nebraska high school boys golf state tournaments.

The only competitor from schools in Dawes, Sioux, and Sheridan Counties is Crawford’s Rhett Flack in Class D, being played in North Platte. Flack shot a 91 and sits tied for 54th out of 96 competitors  

      Hemingford and Bridgeport are among the 15 teams in the Class D tournament, but are back in the pack with Bridgeport tied for 8th at 354 and Hemingford part of a 3-way tie for 13th at 385. Best score for Hemingford is Owen Plog, tied with Flack at 91,

      Pender has the team lead at 319 with Overton 9 strokes back. Pender’s Quinton Heineman is the individual leader by a stroke at 73

      Mitchell is at the Class C tournament in Columbus and enters the final round in 8th at 352. Kearney Catholic and Grand Island Central Catholic are 1-2 at 320 and 323.

      Mitchell’s Cael Peters, last year’s state runner-up, is tied for 5th at 78. Jackson Dunham of Kearney Catholic leads at 74. 

     At the Class B Tournament at Monument Shadows in Gering, Scottsbluff is a distant 3rd at 315 with Norris on top with a 293 and York 2nd at 295

     Ryan Seevers of York and Treyton Baehr of Beatrice are tied for the lead at 2-under part 70. Taytom Timbers of Alliance and Scottsbluff’s Isaiah Jones are tied for 8th at 74.
