The Chadron State College Concert Choir and the Chadron Community Chorus join forces today for a free concert at 3:00 in the Memorial Hall Auditorium.
Both groups are under the direction of CSC Director of Vocal Music Dr Joel Schreuder and will offer a combination of sacred and secular numbers.
The Community Chorus will perform first, followed by the College Choir. The groups will then unite for 3 numbers:
All are by Gwyneth Walker, continuing this year’s CSC Music Department spotlight on female composers and performers.
Those numbers are I Will Be Earth, White Horses – based on a poem by ee cummings, and a modern rendition of the spiritual Steal Away.
