Two of the new Eagles are high school signings that are from the western Nebraska, western South Dakota region while the other two are transfer signings.

The newcomers from the area are Bayard graduate Danika Hassel and Belle Fourche graduate Mataya Ward. Hassel set the Bayard school record for kills in a career, and season. While also setting new marks in digs and aces. Not only was Hassel a standout volleyball player, she lettered in basketball all four years of high school and was a two time medalist at state track.

Ward finished her career at Belle Fourche with over 1400 kills and over 1100 digs. She was a three-time all state selection. In addition to her success in volleyball, she was a four-time medalist at state track along with being a two-time national qualifier in rodeo.

The two transfer signings are Alejandra Briseno from Hutchinson Community College and Sofia Langer, most recently at Lewis Clark State College.

Briseno averaged 1.4 kills and nearly 2 digs per set and earned all-conference honorable mention honors.

Langer comes to Chadron as part of her journey that has included stops at Division 1 Norfolk State and NJCAA Central Wyoming College. During her most recent stop at Lewis Clark College, Langer recorded 273 assists and finished second on the team with 3.8 assists per set.
