The Eagles had trouble getting going in the first set, but they soon went on a 6-1 run to gain the momentum needed to carry them to a close victory.
In the second set, the Eagles were able to gain separation from the Yellow Jjackets to go up 18-8 at one point and never looked back, to take the second set.
The Yellow Jackets, who were led by Madison Hoopman with 16 kills, and Cerrone Kindra with 15 on the night, fought back in the third set. They took the third set by starting off up 10-5. The Eagles fought back to an 18-22 score, but the Yellow Jackets held on for the third set win.
The fourth set was all Yellow Jackets as they went on an 8-1 run to go up 15-10 on the Eagles. The Eagles cut the lead down to four at one point, but the Yellowjackets took the fourth set with all the momentum going into the fifth set.
The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an 8-5 lead on the Eagles in the final frame. The Eagles flipped the momentum, however, by a few misses by BHSU and a couple of kills by sophomore Amber Harvey.
After going back and forth with each other, the Eagles scored four straight points to go up 14-11, and eventually won 15-12 and the match for their second conference win of the season.
