โ€œJourney to the Center of Nebraskaโ€ Combines Adventure, Community, and a Challenge

Cyclists nationwide are invited to experience the heart of Nebraska like never before during the 43rd annual Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN), scheduled for June 1โ€“7, 2025. Aptly themed โ€œJourney to the Center of Nebraska,โ€ this week-long cycling adventure offers a unique opportunity to explore the stateโ€™s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant small towns, and rich cultural history while supporting a meaningful cause.

Why BRAN is More Than Just a Ride

BRAN has earned its reputation as one of the Midwestโ€™s premier cycling events, blending non-competitive cycling with community engagement. Riders will traverse Nebraskaโ€™s picturesque heartland, stopping in welcoming towns that showcase the stateโ€™s unique charm. Highlights of the 2025 route include scenic rides along Lake McConaughy, visits to historic sites like the Pony Express Station, and an exploration of the majestic Sandhills.

โ€œWe who live here know Nebraska is so much more than a โ€˜flyover stateโ€™โ€”a hidden gem waiting to be explored,โ€ said Chris Wiehl, BRAN President. โ€œBRAN is about discovering the beauty of our landscapes, the warmth of our communities, and the unforgettable experiences that make people fall in love with Nebraska.โ€

Participants can choose from 3-day, 4-day, or 7-day options, with packages tailored to fit their needs. The entire tour offers nightly tent camping space, baggage handling, hot showers, and other amenities, ensuring riders can focus on the journey and camaraderie with fellow cyclists.

A Ride with Impact

Beyond the personal challenge and adventure, BRAN riders contribute to the future of Nebraskaโ€™s youth. Each registration supports scholarships for students attending trade schools, colleges, and universities.

Host Communities Ready to Welcome Riders

BRANโ€™s route benefits host communities economically and socially, as cyclists spend money on food, lodging, and local goods. For small towns, the event showcases their hospitality and unique attractions, fostering a spirit of pride and connection.
