David Lynn Wyatt was born on April 17, 1936, to Roger & Evalene Wyatt of Missoula, MT, and passed away on May 4, 2023 peacefully in the comfort of his home with his daughter Lee Ann by his side.
Dave attended public school in Missoula and later graduated from his hometown school, the University of Montana. He entered the Air Force on December 31, 1959, and was originally stationed in San Antonio, TX.
Dave then went to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. where he was a Physical Therapist and a member of the Skeet Team. Dave was discharged from the Air Force as a captain on June 15, 1966, and a year later landed in Chadron.
There he began a 40+ year career as a Physical Therapist at Chadron Community Hospital, where he designed and developed the Physical Therapy Department.
Dave was beloved by his patients and the community, becoming well-known for his great personality & humor. Professionally, he was highly regarded for his care and ability.
He was always able to make his patients feel comfortable and happy with his humor and cracking jokes. You could also always hear him coming down the halls of the hospital with his very talented whistling!
On June 20, 1973. Dave married Leona – the beautiful redhead of his dreams and the “Love of his Life”, and as part of the package gained his daughter Lee Ann as well.
Dave and Leona loved and enjoyed living at their home out by Chadron State Park and remained happily married until May 9, 2021, when Leona passed away.
Dave had a passion for nature and the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing and hunting with so many of his special friends.
Dave was predeceased by his father and mother Roger & Evalene; his wife Leona; and his brother Norman.
He is survived by his daughter Lee Ann and his nephews Tom & Greg Wyatt.

So Sorry to learn of Dave’s passing. He worked with Heidi for years. Later, any time we saw him he always talked to her and wanted to know how Heid’s was. He loved to talk about Alaska, also. We will miss him. God’s blessings and comfort for you. Corena, Bill and Heidi.
