Richard Welch of Davey is the sixth winner of a 2024 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4 SuperCrew truck in the 29th edition of the Nebraska Lotteryโs $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
Welch purchased his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at a U-Stop in Lincoln. He was presented with his new truck at U-Stop on Monday, August 26 by Nebraska Lottery officials.
Welch stopped at U-Stop and bought 10 Truck$ & Buck$ tickets and took them home to scratch off early one morning. Thatโs when he hit the top prize.
โI didnโt believe it,โ he said. โI had to go in and wake up my wife so I could tell somebody.โ
U-Stop is about a mile from his house and itโs become the only place he buys his tickets, Welch said. Heโs a regular and most of the crew working at U-Stop knew who he was and were thrilled for him, he said.
โIt feels good,โ he said. โItโs a great feeling.โ
